How CoachLancer’s freelance job board works
Here’s how the CoachLancer freelance job board works. In short:
- Sign up as a member
- Get opportunities in your inbox
- Send a short proposal
- Get interviewed
- Get hired!
Step 1
First, you must become a CoachLancer member.
The job board is exclusively designed for our members and the competencies of the CoachLancer community affect the choice of selected associates and invited agencies.
The annual fees of each membership plan cost peanuts only. 😉
There are and there will never be any other fees, commissions, or other types of payments of any kind!
After a short informal validation, you will receive a welcome email. Be sure to save the welcome email as it contains links to all services that you are entitled to as a member, e.g. access to the webinar courses!
Depending on the membership plan, you will get personal coaching and other support that you might need as a freelancer that you can take advantage of at any time.
We recommend subscribing to some of the services to make sure your competence and clientele is known to us. Then, we can match client projects to you more easily!
Step 2
Sit on your pile of coconuts and wait for a good job opportunity to land in your inbox!
They will appear there soon.
Make sure you check your Social and Promotions folders in your inbox and drag and drop member emails to your Primary inbox, so you won’t miss a single opportunity.
Step 3
Apply for the job by following the instructions in the job post emailed to you. Typically, you will need to explain shortly:
- A past project that you have done before that is similar to the CoachLancer job post you are applying for
- Proof of doing that work (e.g. link to your online portfolio, or any other kind of reference)
- Link to your online profile (Upwork, LinkedIn, Behance, or any other)
- A short Upwork-like proposal indicating your interest and qualifications following the guidelines given to you in the Freelance Like a Boss Course that you have gotten in Step 2
Keep it short, and keep it to the point. That’s all!
Unlike on every other platform, every proposal will get a response!
Small jobs go quickly within 1-3 days whereas bigger projects require more discussion.
Step 4
Upon a positive response, you will be shortly interviewed by Dr. Mike. In the case of projects for selected associates and invited agencies, you will have another short interview with the client team.
No sweat, it’s not a very formal interview. People who hire you just want to know you a bit more than what is mentioned in your profile!
Step 5
Get hired!
- For small jobs, you will be paid in advance.
- Bigger projects require a custom-made contract with specific terms given to you by the client.
Sign the contract and start on the date specified in it.
Bonus step
After completing the job, you can get an official recommendation on LinkedIn that you can add to your profile and/or your Services page! You can also ask for a reference and a quote that you could add to your website.
Why this freelance job board works like a charm
No fake clients, no fake freelancers, all verified by the CoachLancer organization. All freelancers have received training from Dr. Mike. All clients are his personal connections.
Breach of contract on either side will result in removal from the CoachLancer community without any refund of the membership fees paid.
This is so simple. That’s why it works!
